That has been the rhythm behind almost everything I’ve done.
I’ve never been afraid to break something if it means understanding how to rebuild it better. I constantly try to learn new things, I constantly fail, and I use that failure to push me to become better instead of giving up there. I am someone who does not let failures set boundaries for me ever.
I don’t chase perfection, I chase progress.
Growth — real, uncomfortable, chaotic growth — is the only constant that I look for. I believe in working hard, thinking harder, and pushing yourself to the limits to become better.
I’m Tanmay Garg, a student from Swiss Cottage Secondary School (Singapore). Here are some of the achievements I have made in my 4 years of secondary school.
- President of Publications and Media Club
- organised better methods to teach my juniors as I noticed they were quite incompetent (info in individual post)
- made CCA a safe space and a place my juniors look forward to coming to due to my skill of developing interpersonal connections
- I also have decided to spread my love for photography through my photography Instagram page, where I post new photos I take on the trips I embark on.
- Math representative (class) for 4 years, 2022-2025
- Physical Education representative (class) for 4 years, 2022-2025
- Was in Science Ambassadors (club in school) for 3 years. I was also one out of 18 people who were selected to go on a leadership trip (through an interview) to Australia for 1 week.
- Organised a project with real estate agents to take pictures of their properties to help promote their business (refer to individual post)
- Helped my fellow schoolmates become better people
- helped a few of them rid social media addiction from 5h a day to 30 mins or less (information in individual post)
- helped one of them unleash their inner potential of public speaking while overcoming fear of speaking
- helped multiple of them develop better studying techniques + hosting tutoring sessions with them to ensure that they were coping well with school.
- I have been playing guitar for over 6 years, and I have decided to spread my love for music through my Instagram page where I regularly try to post songs I have learnt. I am also in the process of writing my first ever original album and aim to release it by August 2026.
