I got into investing and trading in 2024 — initially out of curiosity about how money actually moves, and quickly became one of the most intellectually engaging pursuits I've picked up.

Most people treat investing as something you do when you have money to spare. I treat it as something you learn before you have money to spare. Understanding markets, valuations, and capital allocation changes how you see every business decision, every product, every piece of financial news. It's a lens that sharpens everything else.

My approach sits in two camps. On the long side, I'm deeply interested in fundamental analysis — understanding businesses, reading financial statements, and identifying companies with durable competitive advantages. The goal is to find things that compound well over years, not weeks. On the shorter side, I've spent time understanding technical analysis, price action, and market structure — not as a substitute for fundamentals, but as a way to understand how sentiment and momentum interact with value.

The intersection of macroeconomics, business strategy, and behavioural psychology is what makes markets genuinely fascinating. Markets are a real-time test of collective human judgement — and they're wrong often enough to be interesting.

I read widely: annual reports, investor letters, market commentary, and books on financial history. The goal is to develop genuine conviction in my own analysis, not to follow someone else's trades.
