How It Started

I got serious about health and fitness in 2024. Not because of a dramatic moment, but because I realised I was neglecting the one machine that runs everything else.

The entry point was strength training. Simple, compound movements, progressive overload. Learning that getting stronger is just a function of showing up consistently and eating right.

What I Train

Primarily resistance training, focusing on compound movements: squat, deadlift, bench, overhead press, rows. Supplemented with conditioning work and increasingly — since 2025 — triathlon-specific training.

Nutrition

I’ve spent time understanding the basics: protein targets, calorie management, meal timing. Nothing exotic — just the fundamentals applied consistently.

Why It Matters

Training teaches you that discomfort is not the same as danger. That what you think your limit is, isn’t. That rest and recovery are as important as effort.

These lessons aren’t just for the gym.

The Bigger Picture

Health is the foundation. Everything else — learning, building, creating — is harder when you’re tired, unwell, or checked out from your body. Fitness is infrastructure.
