Swiss Cottage Secondary School
Four formative years at Swiss Cottage. Grew from a new student into a school leader — graduating as President of Publication & Media, Science Ambassador, and finishing with a Raw Score of 7 at O-Levels.

Achievements.
Elected President of the Publication & Media Club for the 2024–2025 academic year. Led a team of 20+ members responsible for the school yearbook, internal communications, social media, and event photography/videography. Spearheaded a full visual rebrand of the club's output and ran skills workshops on photography, design, and writing for junior members.
Selected as a Science Ambassador — representing the school's Science department at open houses, public exhibitions, and outreach events. Guided prospective students through science labs, presented experiments, and created accessible science content for younger audiences. Developed strong public speaking and communication skills through this role.
Served as the PE Class Representative for my cohort. Primary liaison between students and the PE department — coordinating inter-class sports events, gathering curriculum feedback, and representing student welfare in department meetings. Also helped organise the school's Sports Day 2025.
Elected Mathematics Class Representative for two consecutive years. Facilitated peer study groups, communicated student feedback to subject teachers, and supported classmates who needed extra help with the curriculum. Helped organise math competition sign-ups and practice sessions across the cohort.
Hosted a Subject Combination Workshop for Secondary 3 students making their O-Level choices. Shared first-hand experience navigating the science stream, explained the trade-offs of different subject combinations, and ran a Q&A session to help students make more informed decisions about their academic trajectory.
Throughout SCSS I took on various smaller roles: class monitor in Sec 1 and 2, mentoring junior Pub & Media members on design and photography, participating in VIA (Values in Action) community service projects, and contributing to E2i (Employment and Employability Institute) initiatives that gave students real-world industry exposure.
Selected to represent Singapore on a bilateral Leadership Exchange Programme to Brisbane in 2024. Spent two weeks collaborating with Australian students from a partner school — attending joint classes, working on cross-cultural group projects, and participating in leadership workshops. The experience sharpened my understanding of different educational systems, built lasting international friendships, and deepened my appreciation for collaborative leadership across cultures.
